U2 — Lights of Home (2018, 6739348) — 12″ Maxi Single Picture Disc — NM

Released in 2018 on Island Records as catalogue number 6739348, this 12‑inch picture disc edition of Lights of Home was issued as part of that year’s Record Store Day lineup. The release presents one of the key tracks from U2’s Songs of Experience era in a visually distinctive format, pairing the music with a full‑colour portrait picture disc designed specifically for collectors and RSD participants. The combination of exclusive artwork and multiple track versions makes this one of the more notable U2 RSD singles of the late 2010s.

The tracklist includes the album version of Lights of Home and the St Peter’s String Version on Side A, offering two contrasting interpretations of the song’s melodic structure. Side B features the Free Yourself / Beck Remix, adding a modern, rhythm‑driven reworking that reflects the band’s collaborative approach during the Songs of Experience period. Together, the three tracks provide a compact but varied presentation of the single, making the release more substantial than a standard one‑track picture disc.

This copy is housed in a clear PVC sleeve, consistent with how picture discs are typically issued. The sleeve shows minimal handling wear, with no heavy creasing or clouding. The picture disc itself presents extremely well: the printed image is crisp, bright, and clean, with no fading or surface dulling. The vinyl plays through cleanly, with a grading of Near Mint‑ (NM‑), reflecting both strong visual condition and stable playback. Picture discs often exhibit surface noise due to their manufacturing process, so a clean‑playing example is particularly desirable.

Labels are integrated into the disc artwork and remain clear and well‑preserved. The overall presentation is strong, making this a collector‑grade example of a modern U2 RSD release that retains both its visual impact and its playback quality.

A well‑kept 12‑inch picture disc pressing of a late‑period U2 single, presented in excellent condition and retaining its original clarity and presentation.
